Weak

They say the pen is mightier than the sword,
Yet she felt weaker, more vulnerable
With every verse that she wrote.

But the night is young
And the hours still full

Your words

Caress my fragile imperfections

With an ever so slightest touch

As if by the time

They reach your pen,

I might just crumble down

Like a paper doll

Demise

Every relationship,

Every friendship

Must end

– Either in death

Or betrayal

Write

And when boredom

strikes

I take out my diary

and write

Hurt

He doesn’t want me

To get hurt

Or endure

Any more pain

Yet

He wounds my ego

Time and time again

The saddest indeed

How sad was the day
I realized,
That I could also live happily
Without you in my life.
